Sport and Exercise Psychology with Chelsie Moult (GMBPsS, SEPiT)

Sport and Exercise Psychology with Chelsie Moult (GMBPsS, SEPiT)
C M Performance is run by Chelsie Moult - a Sport and Exercise Psychologist (in training).
Chelsie holds a BPS accredited Bachelors degree in Psychology from Bishop Grosseteste University and a Masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Loughborough University - one of the worlds leading universities for sport related subjects. She is a graduate member of the BPS (GMBPsS) and is currently enrolled on their QSEP Stage 2 training programme, under distant supervision from one of the UKs leading sports psychologists; Dr. Josephine Perry.
As well as her work through CM Performance, Chelsie also practices through the Loughborough Applied Psychology Service (LAPS) - a sport psychology training academy and applied psychology service at Loughborough University.
In October 2025, Chelsie will also begin a PhD, at Loughborough University, after being awarded a fully funded studentship by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). This research will look at ACL Injuries and Rehabilitation and the Interlink with Disordered Eating Behaviours.
Chelsie is a keen sports-person, with a background competing nationally and internationally in Show Jumping for over 10 years. She is also a keen endurance runner having completed numerous marathons including majors; New York and London, and ultra marathons.
Like many sports-goers and athletes, Chelsie has also experienced her own challenges along the way. In the space of 12-18 months her two best horses suffered career ending injuries while turned out in the field, and just a few months later in a seemingly minor fall off a young horse in 2021, Chelsie herself faced serious injuries requiring bilateral ACL knee surgery and the associated lengthy rehabilitation process. Since then she has taken a long break from competetive showjumping but is hoping to return later in 2025 with her homebred young horse 'CiCi'.
Her personal sporting interests and experiences have motivated her passion for Sport and Exercis Psychology, undeniably shaped her professional practice and research interest areas and enable her to have an empathetic appreciation towards some of the strengths athlete's need to perform optimally and the challenges they may be facing.
Chelsie's main areas of interest for practice and research work include (but are not limited to):
Rugby, rehabilitation and injury (specifically ACL injuries and those that require lengthy rehab processes), equestrian disciplines, endurance and ultra sports - particularly running, smart device use and retirement from sport.
